AN INTRODUCTION TO AYURVEDA

From the Sanskrit AYUR meaning ‘life’ and VEDA meaning ‘knowledge’

Kapha Dosher

KAPHA

Earth + Water
Kapha dosha represents the elements of earth and water and is responsible for growth and protection. People with a predominantly kapha constitution tend to be stable, grounded and nurturing, but may also be prone to slow metabolism and weight gain.
